Electronic Submission of an Intention to Defend a PFA
Due to ongoing Covid-19 concerns and in order reduce the need for litigants to personally appear at scheduled court hearings, if you intend to contest or present a defense to this Protection From Abuse (PFA) action, you or your attorney, should immediately submit a “Notice of Intent to Defend” prior to the scheduled hearing.
It may be possible to resolve this action via telephone or other remote technology prior to the scheduled hearing date. If you appear at the hearing without providing the requested information in advance, the hearing may be postponed and the Temporary PFA order may be extended until a rescheduled hearing date.
