Administrative Judge
The jurisdiction of the Orphans' Court Division is set forth in Section 711 of the
Probate, Estates and Fiduciaries Code, 20 Pa.C.S.A. The cases that are heard in
the Orphans' Court Division include all matters involving decedent's estates, trusts,
wills, guardians of the persons and estates of minors, guardians of the persons
and estates of incapacitated persons, powers of attorney, termination of parental
rights and adoptions, civil commitments, marriage licenses, nonprofit associations
and corporations, and inheritance and estate tax matters.
Most matters in the Orphans' Court Division are heard nonjury by the judges
assigned to the division. Judges currently assigned to the Orphans' Division are:
