Sex Offense Court strives to promote justice by providing a collaborative approach toward improving outcomes through increased accountability, reduced recidivism, and enhanced community safety. The court creates a forum for prompt and impartial resolution of cases, protection of victims and defendant’s rights, and the use of best practices in the assessment, treatment, and supervision of an individual convicted of a sex offense.
Referral Process- All individuals with qualifying offenses are reviewed by the Office of the District Attorney and, if appropriate, the case is assigned to a Sex Offense Court Judge.
